The absolute top-of-the-line from Liebherr, the 9-axle beast LTM 11200-9.1. This one is owned by Mammoet and it is visiting Amsterdam for the second time to lift a broadcasting mast. Mammoet was the first to receive the biggest, strongest and tallest mobile crane in the world. It's so big, the boom has to be transported seperate from the rest of the undercarriage. Hymenocallis are bulbous perennial herbs. The flowers have their stamens united to a characteristic corona. Hymenocallis means beautiful membrane in Greek, which refers to the staminal corona that connects the stalks of the stamens for a portion of their length. The plants have large spectacular flowers. This 9-axle beast is the Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 , the worlds strongest, biggest and most heavy telescopic crane truck in the world and it's owned by Mammoet. It's able to lift 1200 tons! It's actually so large and heavy, with a weight of 96 tons! that the boom will be transported in 2 seperate parts! Mammoet was the first company to introduce the LTM 11200-9.1 at work. It actually did it's first job at the same place as where it has now returned. Deze vorm het centrum van het tentoonstellingscomplex dat vijftig jaar geleden de nieuwe RAI werd genoemd. Deoude RAI in de Ferdinand Bolstraat zou nog de nodige jaren blijven bestaan, die nu meer een sportfunctie kreeg. Op zijn beurt was de oude RAI het broodnodige alternatief voor het in 1929 afgebrande Paleis voor Volksvlijt. The Zuidas (meaning South Axis in Dutch) is a large urban project in South of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. It can be found between the Amstel river and the turnaround of the ringway A10. In this area the headquarters of ABN AMRO and ING Group, two of the largest banks in the world, can be found, and many other financial businesses are found in this area as well. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zuidas Processing: HDR from 5 exposures (-2/+2) tonemapped using Photomatix. Then added lucis on the buildings to add a bit of contrast. In CS3 added curves, levels and selective color, then finished it with a muted color effect.

Deze bussen waren nog geleverd aan Maarse & Kroon (dat kort daarna met de NBM fuseerde tot Centraal Nederland). Lijn 10 reed van Amsterdam Amstelstation via Amstelveen naar Schiphol Centrum en werd later vernummerd in lijn 173. Rechts een stadsbus op GVB-lijn 8. Amsterdam, 1977. A Leyland/Verheul/Domburg bus, originally in service with Maarse & Kroon (a company that soon merged with NBM into Centraal Nederland). Service 10 was connecting Amsterdam Amstel station with Schiphol. To the right, a GVB bus on service 8.

Because the Liebherr LTM11200-9.1 is so large it can not go on the road as a whole. The boom will actually have to come off and be transported seperate from the undercarriage of the crane. This is the Mercedes Actross V8 that transports the boom. It's a special trailer for the boom, as you can see it's made so that it's more easy to Manoeuvre the truck to smaller areas.

Amsterdam Motor Show AutoRAI 2009. One built so far by Aston Martin. A father and son flew all the way from Australia just to see this car. They arrived on Friday, spent two hours with the car on Saturday and flew back on Sunday. The guy is going to order one in Australia! How wicked is that?!
