Steam fog, also called evaporation fog, is the most localized form and is created by cold air passing over much warmer water or moist land. It often causes freezing fog, or sometimes hoar frost. This canal is located next to appartment In Amsterdam - the Westelijk Marktkanaal, temperature -1 ºC, 22 december 2008 Mist kan zich vormen door afkoeling van zeer vochtige lucht (tot onder het dauwpunt) of door menging van koude met warme vochtige lucht. De vorming van mist hangt af van veel factoren, zoals begroeiing, reliëf en de nabijheid van open water. Deze foto had ik 'smorgen vroeg genomen van het Westelijk Marktkanaal pal naast mijn appartement.
