R.V.I.A Street Architecture Medal for 1940
Made by SplaTT
This Street Architecture Medal from the R.V.I.A (Royal Victorian Institute of Architects) was awarded in 1940 to Edward Fielder Billson, the architect of the Sanitarium Health Food Company building in Warburton . Check out this link for more information in Billson who worked closely with Walter Burley Griffin for a number of years and was the first person awarded a Diploma of Architecture from Melbourne University in 1915. You can also find a list of other winners of the medal over the years here. For over 23 years I have gone past this building nearly every day (except when i lived in Sydney obviously) and i never knew any of this...WOW!!!
