Afgelopen winter was ik 1 van de getroffen mensen door het winterweer. Waar er s'ochtends wel sneeuwval was voorspeld maar geen hevige ging ik met opgeheven hoofd naar Vleuten om iemand te bezoeken. Echter toen ik terug wou gaan zag ik voor mij de laatste trein van die dag bleek achteraf. De volgende dag wel geprobeerd naar huis te gaan maar verder dan Utrecht Centraal kwam ik niet. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The last winter in Holland was a hard one. For 2 days the traintraffic was stopped. The picture show the last train of that day, so I was stuck in Vleuten for 2 days.

Voordat er afgelopen maandag een goederentrein ontspoorde.... When I took this picture last week, I couldn't suspect that yesterday morning a goods-train would run off the rails at the very same spot, causing a shower of stones for at least five kilometres and seriously damaging rails, platforms, cars that were parked nearby and the windows of a passing train. The place doesn't look as pristine anymore as it does in this picture!

Vleu de boules. Eigenlijk net zoals een Jeudeboulesveldje hoort te zijn. Fijn grind afgezet met trottoirbanden en bedekt met Platanen. Ik zag alleen geen mannen met vale donkere jasjes gevlekte overhemden broeken met verstelwerk, want Fransen zijn op de penning, lees de boeken van Wil den Hollander er maar op na. alpinopet op stoppels van tenminste 3 dagen pijpen rokend, danwel peuken sabbelend. Zondag 16 Augustus 2009.


ERS 189 090, Vleuten

Sinds kort heeft ERS er weer een 'nieuwe' 189'er bij. Het is geen onbekende, de 189 090 heeft namelijk eerder dagelijks de CityNightLine tussen Frankfurt/Main en Amsterdam gereden. In dienst van ERS mag ze meteen haar diensten bewijzen met trein 40108 uit het Italiaanse Melzo, hier als omgeleide trein op het station van Vleuten net ten westen van Utrecht.
