Getting pushed again. This week I had heavenly~flower (Leilani) [http://www.flickr.com/photos/heavenly-flower/] as my partner. She's a fantastic photographer and you should defiantly check her out! I challenge you to take a shot of your favorite food at home or better yet you might have fun seeking out a restaurant for a lovely presentation. At first I didn't really know what to do. Food was simple to capture, however how would I fill the frame and what I had to work with. You see, this actually was quite a challenge for me. I dislike shooting in restaurants because I have such little light to work with and that forces me to shoot at high ISO's, the thing about this was that I don't really have a wide low light lens. The 50mm 1.8 is my lowest aperture lens and as great as that thing is, when you're in a restaurant, 50mm*1.6 (Crop sensor) it's a 85mm basically and that's too close, so I worked with my kit-lens. Anyways, I saw that this Bún Ga Nuong, a Vietnamese dish with: chicken, raddish, carrots, nuts, and bún (noodles), and it seemed to just fill the frame so nicely. Although I had to shoot at 800 ISO, the shot turned out OK. I felt like the frame was taken up very nicely. Anyways, have a nice day! (It was delicious by the way) Sadly this is not in America, I shot this in Hong Kong and I just didn't get to editing it. Oh how I miss it. So this is my grand-aunt I guess I would say in English. She means, quite a bit to me and my father. She currently suffers from Alzheimer's, she's getting better though! So that's good to hear. I mean she is getting old though. We visited her today, me and my father. She's better than she was last year and she remembered me and my father as well. Hope she just keeps getting better. Staying strong. Hope all your loved ones are well too. Free-lensed.

I kept on wondering why everyhting got wet all the time.....;-) I think there are more teapots than people in Hong Kong and not all have an easy life....Still it is amazing how much tea is spilled over tables and nobody invented a fool proof anti dripping on teapots yet ....nobody cares about it....
