Dad's Invention
Made by kuzquiano
When my Dad was a child, the farm was booming, and there was a lot of work to be done from early morning until night. My Dad, being the inventor he is, created this 'wheelbarrow' type device, made from large branches from trees and a iron wheel left over from Celso's Refinery. Norah is demonstrating that even after all these years, the invention works just as well, and that they are all young at heart. (wheelbarrow included)

Later That Night...
Made by kuzquiano
We had a bonfire, and songs, told stories and talked well into the night. There is no electricity or lights anywhere near the community of Vila Vila. The farm village is very much the same as it has been since it was founded. Natural streams supply water, mud and clay still used to build, and candle power is still used for light. The nights had never been so dark as they are in Vila Vila.

Progress: Back
Made by kuzquiano
Just before reaching the highest point of out journey I snapped this series of three pictures of the path we walked. This is a shot of the road (you can see how very thin it is) and the mountains behind us. You can see the dark line on the mountains in the distance, which is the path we had already walked.

Ramero, Kenneth, and Michael
Made by kuzquiano
Ramero, Michael and myself pose infront of the Uzquiano community on our way down to Vila Vila. The structure in the background is really a series of houses that were built very close together. This is where my family all lived when on the farm.

Morning In Vila Vila
Made by kuzquiano
A look from the Uzquiano house in Vila Vila. The mountain closest to Vila Vila is named Los Angeles. Little known fact, I was in Los Angeles only days before flying to Bolivia.
