Tired of waiting for the journey to start....He is a bangle seller who tours from dadar to virar from monday to sunday every week, every month, every year. We waited for almost 1 hour for the bus journey to start from uttan naka to manori jetty. The journy from bhayander station west to uttan naka was full of new experiences. The fishing community settled on the way have there own way of wearing cloths & languages spoken. They wear a special koli lungi and a T-shirt...Mostly speaking koli language a mix of marathi, konkani and the language catholics speak. You can see large number of small Crucifix all the way from uttan to bhayander city.

What at first look like pebbles on the beach are actually prawns which are being spread by hand to dry in the Sun. Also visible in this set are the racks on which the fish are dried to make Bombay Duck It's a fascinating place. The area as is much of that coastline is predominantly Christian and a real gem of a place to have virtually within the confines of Northern Mumbai. The smell is quite unbelievable; salt and fish. Ashok was quite overwhelmed by it and vowed that he would never take us there again!! However, I'm sure that we can persuade him otherwise...
