Sunset Urban Terminal
Made by Dr. Akira TAKAUE
This place could be one of very famous places in Tokyo, probably a lot of photographer tried to take this unaccountable monument with the rainbow bridge. A lot of cubic boxes, put on the monument, have being rotated with wind blow. Unexpectedly the composition was difficult because a lot of obstacles around that; spent not so few time to install tripod on proper place. I found that the reason why most of introduced this composition in internet were not any impact to me. After taking this one, a lot of old-people came out of terminal building, and started to take photos of this monument with their mobile-phone camera all together suddenly :), and crossing over my composition ;( Anyway, I could enjoy my first shot on this place. Rainy Day Hijiri-bashi Bridge
Made by Dr. Akira TAKAUE
Finally I had a time to take in the area of Tokyo. 1st one is Hijiri-bashi bridge in Ochanomizu, Tokyo. This RC arched bridge, designed by Mr. M.Yamada and Mr. K.Naruse, was constructed in 1927 based upon a policy of emergency rehabilitation of bridges collapsed by Kanto earthquake caused in 1923. I have planed to take this old RC bridge in twilight time, but unfortunately it was snow and rainy day; so I could not do in such the golden time; however I could express interesting contrast between colorful illumination installed on the bridge including background lights in AKIHABARA district and gray scenery in rainy day. Back to Human Life
Made by Dr. Akira TAKAUE
Rainbow bridge located at the entrance structure of the Tokyo bay is one of the typical beautiful suspension bridges in Japan. The superstructure consists of double deck road and railway. There are a lot of photos of rainbow bridge including illuminations on the opposite side such as Fuji-Television in public but this composition has not been seen anywhere. I'm a bridge designer, so wanted to put an important point of the detailed structure of the trussed superstructure and lighted white tower to the composition. Monkfish Hot Pod - あんこう鍋 (Ankou Nabe)
Made by Apricot Cafe
Have you ever tried Monkfish? The other day, we went out for dinner with my friends at Hotei-san (ほていさん) in Tsukishima (月島). I heard this restaurant was famous for monkfish hot pod. I was amazed to see the amount of liver. Everything in orange is monkfish liver! Visually I felt little weird, but the taste was so nice!! Tsukishima Night Skyscraper
Made by Dr. Akira TAKAUE
Since Hijiribashi- bridge shot, I have not kept any time to visit the center of Tokyo. In this Saturday night, I had some time going around mainly Tokyo bay area. I was really exciting touching brilliant night scenery, took over 50 shots there. Today one of them I'm now updating. This area is Tsukishima area where rapidly skyscrapers are building up for comparatively rich people. The daylight shot of this composition are often on TV but I have never seen the night shot. Yes, that's good idea. TSUKISHIMA, TOKYO, JAPAN, 2010 NIKON D700 & Ai AF Nikkor 50mm F1.4D Tripod-held and RAW

Tuna cutting
Made by Alessandro Melillo [RonJe]
Tuna cutting. Just like a butcher, but stylish. A shot from the firs dozen of street shots in Japan. - Shot on FujiFilm Neopan 400@800, on Pentax MX, processed in Rodinal 1+50 12'30 and gently fucked by InVision CTX 5500DS baggage scanner and explosive detection device, which left some fancy wavy strips on my negatives. Fuck. You can look at the rest of the images here, on Light was enough.

To the Vague World
Made by Dr. Akira TAKAUE
Lately my primal business is disturbing me to take photo outside, so just I can not help uploading past-taken photos. However...I have forgotten unfortunately specific place where I took this shot that were taken when I took a long walk around Yamanote line in Tokyo in early May.... I found out an interesting architecture, which two smart buildings stands on very closely. Could be in Aoyama, Tokyo.... Illuminated Eitai-bashi Bridge 1926
Made by Dr. Akira TAKAUE
This blue colored illuminated bridge is a steel arched bridge, constructed in 1926, named Eitaibashi bridge in Tokyo located near Tsukishima skyscraper. Of course this bridge is really famous for the illumination so there are a lot of concerned photos in the internet, but I do not like most of their post editing and composition. I've been wanted to get one by my own capability. Finally I did it. TSUKISHIMA, TOKYO, JAPAN, 2010 NIKON D700 & Ai AF Nikkor 50mm F1.4D Tripod-held and RAW

Was at the fish market in Tsukiji this past weekend getting treated to a delicious sushi lunch for my birthday. It was actually my first time to the market, and while I couldn't rally myself to get up early enough to see the fish actually get hauled in, it was still a really cool place to poke around and only a short walk from Ginza. Definitely worth checking out. @Tsukiji Fish Market Polaroid SX-70 Sonar One-Step (using an ND4 filter) Polaroid 600 film

Goodbye Tsugumi
Made by mario bellavite
For ten years I had been protected, wrapped up in something like a blanket that had been stitched together from all kinds of different things. But people never notice that warmth until after they've emerged. You don't even notice that you've been inside until it's too late for you ever to go back-- that's how perfect the temperature of that blanket is. — Banana Yoshimoto (Goodbye Tsugumi)
