Time's up for city engineer Dahl

Carl Adolf Dahl (1828-1907) was the city engineer of Trondheim 1859-1899. He did many great things to modernize the town, but in my eyes he is also the greatest vandal of the town. Trondheim used to be a great seafaring town, but Dahl decided to build the new railroad OUTSIDE the town, on artificially developed land in the sea in front of the natural shoreline of all the hundreds of distinct quays, wharfs and warehouses. In this way he really destroyed much of the beauty of the town, which before this was a beautiful town full of quays and wharfs directly on the seafront - now obscured by a railroad and industrial area artificially built into the fjord. Ever since his construction of the railroad in the sea, the town has been under constant threat of losing it's identy; first by the immense building projects of the germans during WW2 and now in modern times by land developers, real estate speculators and the town's own municipality. Nevertheless, Trondheim remains the town with the most quays and wharfs in Norway, far surpassing the more famous puny 16 ones in Bergen (known as Bryggen), but unfortunately all these wharfs and quays are under constant pressure and in danger of disappearing due to fires and subsequent insane modern architecture. Please help conserve Trondheim as the town of quays and wharfs; a seaside town and traditional trading centre!

Trondheim, Norway - 1AM. Some sort of power station or electric transformer. It's positioned next to a submarine bunker from WW2, and it might seem as if it was designed with that in mind (it kind of looks like the tower of a u-boat). It serves a practical purpose, but it is also a piece of art. Not often you see the local authorities think like that.
