A few months after this photo the unit moved en masse to Aldershot, became 5 Infantry Brigade HQ & Signal Squadron, and as such deployed to the Falkland Islands aboaord the QE2 on May 12th 1982. Our new OC Sqn, Maj M L Forge Royal Signals (not on this photo) was killed in action on the 6th June 1982. Front Centre on the Photo is Brigadier Wilson, who commanded 5 Brigade during the conflict.
