Tibbetts Point Lighthouse

Tibbetts Point Lighthouse marks the point where Lake Ontario meets the St. Lawrence River in Northern New York State. The original lighthouse was built in 1827. The stone tower was 59 feet high. The present light was built in 1854 to replace the 1827 light. The Lighthouse features the only original working Fresnel lens in Lake Ontario. Tibbetts Point Lighthouse also features a Hostel for those staying over in town.

Still pulling from old pictures. This is from my 2003 Road Trip. THis is the lighthouse on Cape Vincent, wher ethe St. Lawrence Seaway meets Lake Ontario. The most beautiful spot on the most beautiful day of my trip.
