Thompson Graving Dock Pump House is getting a face lift, complete with clock tower. At last something is done at the birthplace of the Titanic. The building behind the dock is the Pump House, which housed the pumps to drain the Thompson and Alexandra Graving Docks. You can see more and here.

This is the dry dock in which Titanic was finally fitted out. The dock is 268 meters long, and had to be extended to accomodate the Olympic class of ships. In its day it was the largest dry dock in teh world. The building behind the dock is the Pump House, which housed the pumps to drain the Thompson and Alexandra Graving Docks.
