Googlers on wheels
Made by M0les
I think this was taken about when Google moved into their new digs in Pyrmont. It's a bit hard to see, but there are two people in the distance on roller blades/skates carrying large Google billboards. Presumably as some knd of particularly lame guerrilla marketing campaign. They appeared to be doing loops up and down this paved area one morning. I hope it was just some kind of internal worker dare or somesuch, because in and of itself, it doesn't strike me as a particularly effective campaign.

Janis Jekabsons (my father), The Welcome Wall, Darling Harbour

More than 6 million people have crossed the seas to settle in Australia. They have come from most countries on earth to the lands of the Cadigal, the Burraburragal and beyond. The Welcome wall at the Australian National Maritime Museum stands as a symbol of our great diversity and our unity. Stories about the people whose names appear on the Wall are recorded and readily accessible in the Australian National Maritime Museum

I can't believe it. Not even one month into my set dedicated to the drought plagued lands of Australia, Sydney has officially relaxed its water restrictions. We've had so much rain recently that we can start using our sprinklers again!!!! I should have started this set five years ago. We might have avoided the worst drought in modern history all together!!!

Maritime Museum Panorama
Made by Dave Keeshan
This was an interesting panorama i got out the back of the maritime museum in Darling Harbour. As you can imagine the effect would be lost if I cropped it so i have left it unmolested from what autostitch spat out. For film buffs the green Aon building is supposed to be the roof of the building that Neo does his bullet time in the matrix.

Welcome Wall

Welcome Wall at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney. It's 100 metres long and honours Australian immigrants, however they travelled, wherever they landed and wherever they live today. This is continually added to as names are registered.

Sydney's Darling Harbor in Sydney, Australia

This is an old lighthouse and ship in the Darling Harbor in downtown Sydney, Australia. This was taken June 23, 2010, day 11 of our family trip to Australia & New Zealand. On this day, we went around Sydney as a family, and had a great time. :)

I'm probably watching too much television cause when I puled this image back from the archive, the first thing I thought of was the Prison Break TV series (top-most name on the left)
