Well... part of the Ciutadella complex the Umbráculo was builded in 1883 and represent in its structure an icon of the architectural legacy of Barcelona in late 1800's. La Ciutadella Park was a city inside the city and was converted into a park in 1869. Until today the project suffered some modifications. It also was the main stage of the First Universal Expo of Barcelona in 1888. Project: Josep Fontserè, 1883 (Reformed by Jaume Gustà in 1886 and Restored by Josep Amargós in 1888).
