The Willemsbrug was Rotterdam's first (older) city bridge. Built in 1982 it replaced an 19th. century bridge (bearing the same moniker) It lies some 2 km's to the east from the Erasmusbrug. Though not as iconic as the latter, it's red appearance is quite appealing.

The river in it's full glory. When walking out of the busy city of Rotterdam, it's really always an amazing moment to find this huge stretch of calming water with it's relatively slow moving ships.
