Living it up with the Statler Brothers

This one (the Capitol Hilton) was built in 1943 as the Statler before that chain was taken over by the Hilton (I think this is the only Hilton in DC actually owned and directly operated by the Hilton). This was the hotel where Franklin Roosevelt gave his speech in 1944 Presidential campaign to the Teamsters that has become more or less known as the Fala Speech. When I pointed this out, Chris naturally wanted to go downstairs and see the Statler Brothers. He is the youngest of three brothers and it shows sometimes( i.e. he loves to give me hell about something . . . anything and I have to admit: it's fun).
