Flesh Gordon
Made by T Hoffarth
All in the name of research I rented the 1974 Sci-Fi sex spoof Flesh Gordon (top) knowing that there was some L.A locations to track down. Lucky for me, I already had photos on file of this location that I recognized. The Emperor Wang's castle on the planet Porno was modeled after the Griffith Observatory so the producers were able to use the observatory's exterior for some shots.

Griffith Observatory as Batman Gothic
Made by tanngrisnir3
I took a couple of these in B&W that are actually a bit more 'Batman', but these observatory shots are all from .jpegs, shot before I knew how to process RAW, and they would require a LOT of processing (and me being at home to do so).

Made by bobvparker
Day trip to Griffith Observatory on 8/21/11 - Bob Parker & Liz Cholet, on her visit back to the LA area returning from Paris, FR. Sadly, a smoggy/hazy day ruined what should have been some of the best views in LA!

Periodic Table of Elements.

Late night family learning about the periodic table. It's pretty cool, it has little pieces of every element and lights up too!

This is a beautiful place to visit. That's a sundial in the foreground - I don't know what else you thought it could have been.
