He owns a buker shop on GN Chetty Road selling knick-knacks and provisions to people from the slum. Anna in tamil means elder brother. Out here, we usually address shop owners, auto drivers, taxi drivers and other plethora of strangers if we need to address them in any way as Anna. I have always considered myself a lousy shot at taking photos of people mainly because I don't seem to be able to connect to my subject. But for some unkown reason I was able to connect to him.

I came across what is known as Polaroid Transfer yesterday. Blew my mind off! I know this lacks a lot of what a polaroid transfer image should look like and is a pretty bad attempt but the colours seem to fit in perfectly!!! Of course, this is Photoshopped. Man! Am I waiting to get a Polaroid camera for real or what!!!

walking down the office stairs tonight, this was laid out on the second floor- I asked senthil about it, and it's onam! I'm not sure what the significance is, but it sounds from senthil like there are a TON of festivals... just wait a moment and another one will come around :)
