Kate has finally felt the baby moving. In pregnancy, this is known as quickening. Not to be confused with the same term as used in the Highlander movies: The Quickening is the sensation that an Immortal experiences when he beheads another Immortal. It is accompanied by flashes of lightning-like energy and the destruction of other items around him. ...Awesome.

Eyas kept throwing things and yelling at him to get down, but Gaurang seemed happy, crawling around in his new hiding place, so we let him stay. Pregnancy.org states, Studies have found that newborns will suck more vigorously when read to from a book they heard frequently in utero. Since I don't want my kid to suck at all, I've been reading to it from a book that it is not likely to ever see again after birth.

According to this diagram, our baby has taken up yoga. Next week, it'll be guitar lessons or scrapbooking classes. Baby isn't *really* interested in any of these activities, but you've got to pass the time somehow when you're trapped in a fluid sack for nine months.
