Hennepin County MN 2010 The Foshay tower on left was at one time Minneapolis's tallest buildings. Now the W Minneapolis – The Foshay hotel that was modeled after the Washington Monument. It was completed in 1929 just months before the stock market crash that year. It stands 447' and it's listed on The National Register of Historic Places. The AT&T building built in 1991 is 464' high. The tallest building in Minneapolis is the IDS Tower completed in 1973 and designed by Phillip Johnson standing 792'.
