When I look at my photos, some subjects appear again and again. Marketplaces are certainly one such subject for me. During my travels I usually visit a local marketplace or two, and also at Tampere I visit local marketplaces quite often with a camera. Even though I rarely buy anything there always is something interesting to photograph. I decided to collect all my marketplace photos in a set. Look .

At 2PM saturday afternoon the marketplace was already closing. Apparently there is a flea market every saturday and the pros are there picking the best deals already at 6AM (or so I've heard - even though Iive pretty close to the marketplace, I've never been there when there actually is a fleamarket going on)..

The sheafs of oats are for birds, 2 € for one, and the green bunches, 7 € for a pair, are for the sauna. Originally they were called vasta in the east and vihta in the west, but nowadays everything is mixed.
