Today we ventured out in the rain for the cover of the Ape Cave which is a pretty large lava tube. We decided to brave the upper level which is longer and more difficult. Nathan was amazing (and while he would get freaked and start crying he would keep pushing on forward as our leader). This picture is at the very end when we leave the cave via small ladder and hole and hike back to the beginning above ground.

Today brought us back to the Lewis River. We wanted to see if we could find Upper Falls. We ended up finding Taitnapum Falls, a little bit up stream of Upper Falls. If only we had walked around the next bend...

Hanging out at our camp site. We had quite a bit of rain so setup a pretty impressive tarp system (one of which is behind me).
