Superior Viaduct

Long before Veterans Memorial Bridge was built, the Superior Viaduct carried streetcars over the Cuyahoga River. Built in 1878 of Berea sandstone, it was closed in 1920 and demolished a few years later. The seven arches that made up the western end of the viaduct have been incorporated into the new Stonebridge condominium project.
