Hagia Sophia
Made by Yokels
The Hagi Sophia is perhaps the most impressive religious building we have ever seen, its a combination of its age and size that makes it outstanding. Built by the christian Byzantine emporer Justintane in 532AD. Modestly he compared himself to god when he first stepped inside. it was the biggest cathedral in the world for over 1000 years and I would guess probably had the biggest dome. Even now it the sheer scale of the building compares to St Pauls cathederal even though it was constructed 1200 years later. It was converted to Mosque but the Ottomans in the 1500s and converted to a musuem in the 30s. Istanbul Turkey
