SAIL harbour trip 19 August 2010 - The impressive traditional 5 year event in the harbour of Amsterdam featuring over 50 tall ships, naval ships, replicas and modern yachts. Renowned tall ships from all over the world came to SAIL Amsterdam 2010. Among them are the following ships: Belle Poule (France), Dar Mlodziezy (Poland), Dewaruci (Indonesia), Götheborg (Sweden), Iskra (Poland), Jolie Brise (England), Kaliakra (Bulgaria), Kruzenshtern (Russia), Loa (Denmark), Mir (Russia), Pogoria (Poland), La Recouvrance (France), Sedov (Russia), Shabab Oman (Oman), Shtandart (Russia), Sørlandet (Norway) and Thor Heyerdahl (Germany).

Op de fotowedstrijd die Haven Amsterdam, samen met De Telegraaf en Sp!ts eerder dit jaar organiseerde kwamen ruim 200 inzendingen binnen. Tot en met maandag 18 oktober waren voor de Stopera twintig levensgrote foto’s van de Amsterdamse Haven te bewonderen, op de voorgrond staat mijn foto, inmiddels staat hij bij mij thuis.

Daklozen hebben vandaag wethouder Eric van der Burg (VVD) een pyjama aangeboden. Hij kreeg ook een coupon voor een gratis overnachting bij de Stopera. De dakloze actievoerders brengen voor de Stopera de nacht door om aandacht te vragen voor het 'opjaagbeleid'. Raadslid Maureen van der Pligt (SP) eiste dat de politie niet langer boetes uitdeelt aan daklozen die buiten slapen zolang de gemeente Amsterdam niet voor voldoende opvang zorgt.
