This is actually a sculpture, in Melbourne, Victoria, named The Lady of St Kilda, on St Kilda Beach. You can see St Kilda Pier on the right. This commemorates an eponymous ship that gave its name to St Kilda, the town in Melbourne. The City of St. Kilda took its name from a schooner, Lady of St. Kilda, which was built in Dartmouth, Devon, England to carry fruit from the Mediterranean to London. Speed was an essential element of the ship’s design because of the perishable nature of the cargo. In 1834, the vessel was bought by Sir Thomas Acland of Killerton, Devon. Other shot: One for

Two SB800s connected to a Brewer bracket and shot through a Westcott 43 umbrella. Both flashes at 1/128th power. Camera jerked during exposure. Flashes triggered using an SU-800 commander. The background is a cloudy sky. The difference in colour temperature between the flash and the sky rendered the background as a deep blue. Model: Shamim Khan. MUA: Janet Stace.

Posing up a storm with my new awesomo power heavy duty jacket [not actually from Roger David]. My head looks so rough because I'd just spent a few hours riding along the Esplanade in the cold winter wind [also because i have a rough looking head most of the time]. FYI, i rode from St Kilda up to Port Melbourne, then down through the back streets via Middle Park, all the way down to Elwood before heading back up to St Kilda [you can see where these suburbs are on ]
