Cathy always dreamed of going to Paris someday; so when I married her last month, I told her I would take her there for our honeymoon. Of course, one cannot see Paris for the first (or 2nd or 3rd) time without seeing the Eiffel Tower. This view is taken from one of the beautiful gardens found beneath the tower. Unfortunately, in February, the gardens aren't nearly as nice as they are in the spring. Finding a unique way to photograph one of the most photographed icons on this planet is a real challenge. This was one of my attempts.

I have no idea what this tower is for, but it's really odd to run across. I saw it when we took our Bateaux Mouches tour, and I've been wondering what it was since then, but I can tell you that I know nothing more about it now. I didn't see a way to get into it, and there are no windows until the very top there. Weird!
