My finest Santana pic for my Flickr friends...Oye Como Va, my head hurts.....view large is a must. Stalked the parking lot for 2 hours in the freezing cold waiting for the Spiritual Master to emerge from the Supernatural tour in Vancouver. True to form the Nikon flash gave predictable results and well i do admit Carlos looking a bit wacked out...but he played a fine set. As a fanclub member i did get row 5 or so but they denied a backstage pass because of a recent security incident . Thats why the big guy with redeye. Carlos was pretty well drained but did stop and give a big wave to us loyal fans and they are really nice too. The tour people gave us actual cans of coke that came off the actual Masters bus.

Chris Rock referred to Carlos Santana as the worlds most foremost guitar player and imho even Jimmy or Stevie couldn't play 2 guitars at once without even touching them. Think its Bamba he's doing here at the supernatural tour. Used 800 print film so quality is hurting a bit but anything Santana is fine by me....Oct/ 2000 GM Place Vancouver.

There is a neat abacus near Chinatown that I decided to photograph. I had to do it quickly though, because a city worker was trying to turn a fire hydrant on and I was about 10 seconds away from being sprayed! Seemed to work though:)
