The Bridge

We arrive on the scene The Verrazanno Bridge is a big Part of What defines Staten Island. It is the most dominant driving access to the island coming from Brooklyn and connecting the freeway that cuts through most of the island. You can view the Bridge from Manhattan, the Harbor, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and even from part of the Jersey Shore. I can see it from my apartment window, and before I moved to NYC I remember its big part in the movie Saturday Nite Fever. Here it is shown from South Beach, a nice stretch of sand for that part of the Island.

It was hot. It was hazy. The breeze from the beach was the best we could do to cool down in the middle of the day. I love the view of the Verrazanno from South Beach. It always amazes me.
