One of the nicest parks in the city is this one, named after the brewery that used to be next door. But the tradition lives on. After every sunny summer day beer bottles and cans lie scattered all over the place. In 1819 Nikolaj Sinebrychoff founded the brewery and in 1835 he built a English style park behind it. There's no sure date for when the red brick tower in the background was built, but at least it was there in 1854 and was first used as a watchtower by the Russian army. A Russian admiral by the name of Arkas supposedly said it was useless.

Photo shoot for The Bald Prima Donna. Mr Martin has a go at Mrs Martin and Mr Smith. Which is the Englishman, and which the castle?

The FINNBRIT charity walk round the south of Helsinki starts off with a count of the panes in the tower. My fingers are going numb, so I mark it down as zero because none of them are actual glass.
