The mighty Batang Rejang leading to the heart of Borneo. Upriver it would have been possible to see some jungle. Apparently some of the tribes living there still have skulls dating back to the headhunting days. We were about to go and check them out but chenged our plans since we heard that the locals aren't that nice and the jungle has been cut down from a long way around the river. There is a newish boat terminal in Sibu where boats leave both upriver and to the coastal towns of Sarawak. (single shot hdr)
