Built for the Penn Central in February 1973, and later transferred to Conrail on the 1976 reorganisation of North East railroads, No. CSXT 2744 joined CSX Transportation in 1999 on the break-up of the 'Big Blue'. Standard nose and wide nose GE C40-8 at the Selkirk engine terminal in the summer of 1993. I still remember why I made this picture: it clearly shows the differences between the two engine types. Also the different shades of blue and grey perfectly match.
