Here is a shot of Illuminations for Fireworks Friday as well as Freedom Friday. This is a unique Friday for me since it will be my last day at my current job. This job has been a great experience with a great team. However this job has been taking up a significant portion of my time outside of the workplace (thank you laptops and internet access). I can deal with overtime. That is a regular part of the accounting world, but there gets to be a point where it is taken to extremes and other areas of your life begin to suffer. My new job appears to be one where I can go home and be “home.” I will be able to spend time with my family and focus on other things that matter to me again, which will be nice. I might even start posting and commenting on Flickr again. We’ll see. In the meantime happy Friday and my prayers go out to my friends on the Eastern seaboard. Keep your heads down this weekend. Hopefully Irene won’t be as bad as she looks right now. Also, hopefully, my parents and great aunt, who are at sea on their way to New York, will be able catch a flight home to Tampa before Irene hits. Thanks for looking!

Built in front of The Great Movie Ride, The Sorcerer's Hat debuted in 2001 as part of the 100 Years of Magic celebration at Walt Disney World Resort. My wife and the kids actually wanted to go back to the Magic Kingdom for shopping but they had their Not so scary Halloween event going on where you needed a special ticket. The first thing I thought of was Trey's shot of this hat and I knew I had to try it myself so we took the bus over to Disney MGM. We all had a nice time and my wife who is an old movie buff thoroughly enjoyed all the nostalgia.

June 6, 2006 - Like my shirt?? It's the one I wore this year to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday's annual Gay Day at Disney World. I know... I know... I wore the same one last year! However, I'm the only one I saw wearing this shirt [Hollister, 2005]. Plus, again, this year, I got loads of compliments for the shirt. In case you can't read it, the shirt reads, You must be this tall to ride this ride... and below the slogan is a horizontal line. Last night a 777 had to return to NZ on its way to San Fran after hitting a gaggle of geese in the air. I didn't think we had that many geese. The damage was minor but there will be a few tired people when they finally get there. At least it wasn't as bad as te Air NZ Beachcraft that had to do a belly landing after a fault with the landing gear. Fortunately all those hours of trainng paid off and it was a smooth as landing. No I wasn't on it, saw the video on TV. Kudos to the pilots!

View On Black After hacking through the thick Yucatan jungle, I discovered a well preserved Mayan Temple. Upon closer inspection also learned that sacrifices were transported to temple by Segways. Infants and toddlers also attended and parked strollers in front while their parents were left outside to guard their rides.

He was yelling at one of the passersby about violating an anti-hat law he evidently just made up. *lol That's a doughnut in the plastic bag hanging from his belt. He was one of the many characters roaming around MGM. He was excellent.


Daily Disney - World Showcase Bridge

This bridge can be found in Epcot's World Showcase and it leads from The Great Britain Pavilion to the France Pavilion. I think the bridge works well being between these two countries since it has a very European look to it.
