…would you mind showing me the contents of your bag. Due to the complete frustration of not being able to get out and take any photographs recently I decided to take my camera food shopping. To avoid the ‘what is that pratt doing with his camera in a shopping trolly’ looks I covered the camera up with food. When I had finished my shop and without giving it much thought I unburied my camera and put it away in the camera bag. The security guard that had been watching me obviously thought I was acting ‘suspiciously’ and as I tried to leave the store he thought he would ask me a few questions. He was even more puzzled when he found nothing in the bag apart from my camera.

Ok, I guess this one needs an explanation. I was programming (duh) and it was going well……too well……I finished early, got bored and decided to take a picture. The plan was for the shot to be taken as if the camera were inside the monitor looking at me programming. That meant the overlaid text (Java code) had to be flipped vertically. Unfortunately that crapped up the code so much it wasn’t even recognisable as being code. Solution: add the same code again, but without the flip. That totally fudged it up from a technical standpoint, but somehow made it look better. By that time it was half past midnight so I didn’t really care either way.

My secondary gaming rig. Athlon XP2400 (Thoroughbred B), Abit NF7 v2, Sapphire 9800 Pro/XT, 1GB mixed PC2100. The processor is unlocked and is currently running at 200x10 with the memory at 1:1. Yep, that PC2100 is running at 400MHz. 50% overclock! This was taken over a year ago, it doesn't look quite the same any more:

Refections in Vale Road pond, Seaford, East Sussex. Taken with an Olympus C765 UZ. The whole picture is a refection, apart from the duck, which is upside-down in this image.

When I tell people I have a 15 year old laptop, they assume it's the size of a small car. But this thing is actually really compact, it's a work of art inside.
