From our trip to Zagreb - we had the chance to visit the nearby small town of Samobor. A very picturesque little town with cobblestone streets and a nice river, and also known for a local delicacy, which is Samoborske kremšnite, or Samobor cream cake. It's basically fluffy vanilla custard between flaky pastry crusts with powdered sugar. You can see one here. They are delicious!

Na oko 10 hektara očišćena šuma, pa gradski oci kazaše: - pola za 12 kuća, a ostala polovica zelena površina. I tako nastane naše susjedstvo (kasnih '80tih). Kamo sreće da u ostalim dijelovima Hrvatske tako se planiralo i izvodilo gradnja kuća. Our subdivision development happened in late 1980's.... very well planned and executed. Our home is barely visible, as noted.

Kaja is 11 month young mix of German Shepard and Black Labrador - so, she looks like Belgium Shepard. We rescued her from the shelter.... we are grateful to the guy who kept her last few months as she is in very good health and spirit. She became attached to us right away, like we have never seen before. Amazingly loving and friendly dog.

Jugo-zapadna strana kuce, s novom garazom i krasnim radnim prostorom unutra. Window right of the garage door, will be changed into French door (exit from our bedroom) to have like a balcony with stoned floor. Car port roof, with stone face toward the street and all new windows are to be done in next few days.

We have a new dog. Kaja is the name. Došla je iz privatnog psećeg azila - drago nam je što smo spasili jednog psa, koja je jako umiljata, .... reklo bi se uzajamna ljubav na prvi pogled. Kaja je 11 mjeseci mlada, mješanka njemačkog ovčara i crne labradorke, pa onda izgleda kao belgijska ovčarka.

Odmoriste za Ford, nakon dugog puta iz Californije. The car port, where is Ford now, will get a cover (roof looking like the house's roof) - front will be done in stone (like the edges of the house).

in 2002 and 2003, the greatest sandwich in history, the Petar Pan Kebab sandwich was (and still is) available in Samobor, and we knew those mighty makers of sandwiched goodness too! Most wonderful!
