Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kiev (Ukrainian: Sobor Svyatoyi Sofiiyi, Sobor Sviatoyi Sofiyi or Sofiijs'kij sobor, Sofiys'kyi sobor, Russian: Sobor Svyatoj Sofii, Sobor Svyatoi Sofii or Sofijskij sobor, Sofiyskiy sobor) is an outstanding architectural monument of Kievan Rus'. Today, it is one of the city's best known landmarks and the first Ukrainian patrimony to be inscribed on the World Heritage List.
