Incongruous
Made by Richard Flynn
The flags of the Swiss Confederation, the Canton of Geneva, and the European Union. Some of my books tell me that it is principally people in this part of Switzerland which are keen for the country to become a member-state of the European Union. As things currently stand, the Swiss have a fairly good thing going: they have negotiated individual trade and other agreements with the EU so that they can benefit from those without being encumbered with the burden of bureaucracy implicit with membership of the EU. Though of course, as I know, the Swiss are no strangers to bureaucracy. One such agreement between Switzerland and the EU was recently signed.

Coincer la bulle - To bum around
Made by Gael V
Les maçons utilisent un niveau à bulle pour vérifier qu'une surface est bien horizontale. Quand un maçon se repose, la bulle reste coincée dans le tube, d'ou l'expression. French expression which origin is from the building world: mason use a spirit level to verify that a surface is horizontal (an air bubble trapped in a transparent tube containing liquid). When the mason sits, the bubble remains stuck in the tube. APN: eos 400D 17-50 tamron

I used one of the shortest exposures, significantly adjusted in photoshop, and brushed in to the overall frame. Obviously with five (as I recall) exposures getting detail on the peeps is hard.

Mike Wong's Fast Food Asiatique
Made by cometstarmoon
I love all of the trademark infringements going on at Mike Wong's Fast Food Asiatique in Geneva. We didn't eat here, but if I was in Geneva for an extended period of time I would go out of my way to do so out of support. Fast-Food Asiatique Mike Wong Boulevard James-Fazy 11 1201 Genève

When laws like this are approved you really feel sad for living in a country where you can't vote.

The sandwiches from Manor were pretty good. But our enjoyment was dulled by the fact that it was too cold to be eating sandwiches outside.
