I spotted this pair waiting patiently at a set of traffic lights in Nagpur, a city in central India. They were looking on intently as another donkey britally bullied its smaller companion. After several minutes of sustained assault, the unfortunate victim finally snapped, turned on its assailant and chased it, braying loudly, into the middle of the busy road where it proceeded to unleash its retaliation by biting the perpetrator's ankles. I photographed this donkey (left, bravely running away)) picking on its smaller, weaker companion (the angry one) from a hotel window in Nagpur, central India. After suffering several minutes of sustained biting, the aggrieved beast finally snapped, turned on its bullying cousin and chased it, braying loudly, into the middle of a busy road where it then proceeded to snap at its bewildered tormentor's ankles. A pleasing end to a cautionary tale.
