This is an old map of the Berlin local train network version of 1980 or maybe a little earlier (please comment if you can add some detail). The station Siemensstadt, and the whole section of the grid which was called Siemensbahn, where I found this is disused since the big strike in September 1980. The map shows the old, now disused stations, as well as the Berlin wall (which fell in 1989). The plan is in bad condition - but it seems it was luck that it is glued directly to the wall, so no looters could take it away. (its worth to take a look at the large version -if you know Berlin and the stationnames) ===== Dies ist ein Streckenplan der Berliner S-Bahn von 1980 oder etwas früher (bitte Kommentare zum Bild abgegben wenn Ihr Details hinzufügen könnt). Die Station Siemensstadt und der ganze Abschnitt der Siemensbahn genannt wurde ist seieit dem Reichsbahnerstreik 1980 stillgelegt. Der Plan ist in einem traurigen Zustand - aber es ist wohl Glück, das er direkt an die Wand geklebt wurde - so konnte Niemand den Plan einfach wegnehmen. (Es lohnt sich das Bild mal in Gross anzusehen - wenn man mit dem Berliner S-Bahnnetz vertraut ist).

I would name this pic after whatever the artist wrote there - but sorry, I can't read it - I am probably not 3117 enough for that ;) But it fits the impression I took down with me from the tracks above - the green stuff is conquering the whole structure... ===== Ich würde das Bild nach dem benennen was der Künstler dort geschrieben hat - aber sorry... ich kanns nicht lesen - ich bin wohl nicht 3117 genug ;) Aber es passt zu dem Eindruck den ich von oben von der Schienenstrecke mitgenommen habe - das grüne Zeug überwuchert alles...

This picture is stuck to one of the walls in the shelter on the derelict station. I assume that the line bloew once read something like ...Hansestadt Bremen.... Maybe some restless souls still haunt this shack, waiting for the train to get there... ===== Dieses Bild klebt an der Wand in dem Häuschen auf dem verlassenen S-Bahnhof. Ich vermute unter dem Bild stand irgendwas mit ...Hansestadt Bremen.... Vielleicht spuken noch ein paar rastlose Seelen in dem Häuschen und warten auf den nächsten Zug um dorthin zu gelangen...
