S-Bahn station Olympiastadion has a nice classic interior. I don't think it used to be very big. it looks like they built 10 extra platforms for the world cup. at least it's not very busy right now: I was there for a half our (mid-day) and only around the arrival/departure times of the trains there were small groups of travellers entering and leaving. in-between, the place was deserted. it accentuated the mood set by the building itself, if you know what I mean.

In addition to the regular two tracks there are eight extra tracks that are only used when the stadium is used. They are laid out as 4 perfectly identical copies and form a bizarre concrete desert with strictly aligned signs and lamp posts that matches the architectural spirit of the area.
