Sign pointing to the Chappelle Ste Rita, aka H. Rita Kapel, Chapel of St Rita. This fascinating little church is tucked away in one of the storefronts behind scaffolding in a corner of the Rogier Metro station in Brussels. it's a real, functioning Catholic chapel in a subway station, complete with candles, a tabernacle, saints and crucifixes and several Masses per week.

This lightshow thing on buildings is becoming quite popular in and around brussels. At first, the cooling tower in Drogenbos, then the Atomium, we've seen the Madou tower lit up by an artist for a while, and now we have the Dexia tower as a massive lightshow. It's massive and takes up a major part of the view of place Brouckère when heading north.

In our street, and a lot more in the neighbourhood close to Brussel North, there is a big problem with rats. Recently i found two really big ones on the street, and this one, which is obviously a piece of art. Unfortunately his tale was allready smashed by someone when i found him

Zwei Stunden lang strömten Demonstranten vorbei. Auch wenn es hier nicht so wirkt, verlief die Demo zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch sehr friedlich - erst gegen Ende wurden wohl noch viele Flaschen, Scheiben, Autos zerstört...

In Brussels city centre, the trams that once ran along the street drop underground. The stations are built so that in the future they can be converted for Metro train style operation. Hence premetro.
