Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas, Texas was designed by the architectural firm of Welton Becket & Associates and completed in 1976; the tower was built as part of a hotel complex; this view is taken from the top of the hotel's atrium; at the top of the 560 foot tower is an aluminum geodesic dome in which sits a three story structure containing observation spaces and the obligatory revolving restaurant; the dome is perched atop four cast-in-place concrete cylinders; this image is from a 35mm slide I took in 1979

We have now arrived in Dallas and this is the view from our hotel window, sorry about any reflections from the windows. This is 4 photos merged together. JFK's assassination point can be clearly seen to the left. I'm sure all us older Flickrites remember where we were when we learnt of his death. I was around 12 and was absolutely terrified that World War 3 was going to start!!
