Red Wolf crosses the Snake River from Clarkston to the Port of Wilma in extreme south east Washington. The piers for this bridge were built in the late 1970s before the water in the Snake River rose behind Lower Granite Dam. The steel spans were not placed and the bridge did not open to traffic until circa 1983. When I was growing up, it seemed they would never finish this bridge. We referred to it as the someday bridge. Becca enjoyed every minute of her last weekend of complete freedom before beginning another year of studies at WSU where she works part time with Kelli, Heather, and I. On a warm August day, 6 of us girls hit the Snake River for a day of boating, wake boarding, swimming, laughing, relaxing, and fun. We were all more than ready and we all had a blast. Present on this trip were Kelli, Heather, Shauna, Nicole, Becca, and me.
