East meets West

Chinese dragon and the Australian kangaroo at the Olympic Torch Relay in Canberra, Australia. The dragon is from the Chinese Youth League of Australia located in Sydney. We left Sydney at 2:30am to come and perform. Talk about dedication!!! As my main role for the day was dragon dancing, I only kept one lens on, my 18-70mm kit lens. If I had more time I would have brought out my 70-200mm /f2.8 vr... such a beautiful lens.

Due to wind direction the balloons at Old Parliament House were not permitted to take off as they might be blown near the airport - however apparently balloons with commercial licenses could, though they took off from various other launch sites. See where this picture was taken.
