Gorilla Ivo in the Berlin Zoo Silverback Ivo was born on 29 jan 1988 in Munich Zoo. Son of Wilma and Roututu. Wilma denied her son and was taken away by his caretaker Barbel who took him to her home and fed him for three months. On dec 14 1992 Ivo was transfered to Loro Parque in Tenerife were they had an all malegroup. On June 13 2002 Ivo got transfered To Artis Zoo in Amsterdam where he met three females for the first time.. On 21 sept 2005 Ivo was transfered to Berlin Zoo, he hadn't succeeded in getting the females pregnant.

Berlin zoo: Bao Bao (Born 1978) is the only Giant Panda in a German zoo, and the eldest known Giant Panda in a zoo worldwide. In spite of several experiments with a female named Yan Yan, there have been no offspring yet. I visited Berlin zoo to see Knut, the young Polar Bear, but I was happier to see Bao Bao as I didn't expect to see a Giant Panda.
