Röda Sten "Red Rock" / Gothenburg - Sweden

The boilerhouse in klippan industrial area. Built in 1940 and is the only remaining building in the area. Used for concerts amongst other things. Was deserted during the eighties. The buildings name is Röda Sten, wich translates to Red Rock wich it got from a nearby boulder. The story is that a Swedish army officer was blown to pieces by a danish cannonball and that his blood colored the boulder red.

My first digital camera was less than a week old. Wish I had taken more pictures there and then. I had no idea - but less than a week later I read in the paper that one wall of the Boiler house would open as a legal wall. I was at the opening, and followed the development quite frequently for several months, perhaps a year. Will dig up pix.
