Day 3 - Malta Sightseeing bus tour, North Island route Ordinarily I steer clear of anything too touristy, preferring to do things at my own pace, but the Malta Sightseeing buses tours cover large part of mainland Malta without having to change routes or return to a bus Terminus like Valletta to visit different regions. So, during this visit I did both North and South Malta tours plus the Night tour, enabling me to hop-on and off at the places I wanted to visit throughout the day with the added bonus of English language commentary. For Day 3 I decided to do the North Island tour, stopping off in the rural village of Mgarr (pronounced Imjarr) in the north-west of the island and the coastal resorts of St. Paul's Bay and Qwara (pronounced Ow-ra)in the north east. The Malta Classic Car Museum is situated near Qwara's bus terminus, covering approx 3,000 sqm and housing over 80 classic cars and motorcycles with a cinema and cafeteria in the premises. The Museum is a real gem and a great retreat from the hot Malta sun with it's air conditioning throughout.

This was taken on top of the wreck of the Imperial Eagle, the old ferry from Malta to Gozo. This shot was taken at a depth of around 34 meters. It is located right in front of Bugibba/Qawra a little bit out in the open see. Very nice wreck, if you get the chance for a dive there, don't say no. :-)

Today we went to a water park which was also a sort of sea-life centre type place where they have animal shows. The dolphin show was by far the best... ...of course, I'm not bias since I found out I'll be swimming with them in 2 days... not at all... Ok maybe a little : D
