湖面有些水氣，天色微涼，我在船頂棚上和大伙坐了一陣子，耐不住風，下去歪在船艙裡曬太陽。艙門口坐著個借渡的島民，雪白襯衫墨黑長褲腰裡圍條棗紅的腰帶，鮮亮的像個簇新的偶人。半小時後，受不住發動機的汽油味，我披上外衣又上了頂棚。舷梯上的一轉身，像羅得的妻子被變成鹽柱，一陣汗濕：好些年前曾做過的一個夢裡，有一模一樣的水草裡行舟，我在夢境中孤立船頭，看到狹長蜿蜒的水道暗無聲息地從身體流過。一陣暈眩。望不到邊際的綿密的葦草如同在地圖上織錦的迷宮，借船行處推出的水波滾出麥浪。呆立良久，直到又想起《西洲曲》裡的句子。
