A part of old railway track

It was the first railway in Edinburgh. As you can see the track is very strange, much wider than it uses in Britain. Horses was used a long most distance, only in a tunnel two steam engines was used. The railway namen Innocent because there were no incedent during expluatation. After building Great North Railway throw Edinburgh track was abandoned. Now it is a pleasant walk with a tunnel. Only a few meters of track was saved. You can see them on a picture.

Must have been some wind yesterday! Resting on the walls on either side of the path creating a nice little 'bridge'. Will probably be cut up and away by tomorrow morning when I pass again... www.citycycling.co.uk
