Construction of Putrajaya bridge started in June 1998 and was completed in 2000. The bridge consists of 2 pylons which is 53 m. high and 1 arch bridge which is 32 m. high. The main span length is equal to 300 m. For hangers of arch, 50 tons of 46 BBR DINA 120 dia. 7 mm. are installed. For stay cables, 750 tons of 84 BBR CONA are installed; 44 main cable stay and 40 for back stay cables, with lengths varying from 60 to 160 m. Putra Mosque, Putrajaya

Notable for its single minaret, and its massive entry portal, the Putra Mosque is a fine example of Islamic architecture. The tower is divided into five sections to reflect the five pillars of Islam. The building is largely made with pink granite, which contrasts well with the surrounding water. The mosque actually juts out into a lake, but is still large enough to accommodate 15,000 people. Also note the interesting interpretation of gables surrounding the base of the dome. Instead of merely pointing up, they point out. The wind was blowing ... but managed to capture this moment. 0.2s worth of exposure and the result: a mirror image of the Iron Mosque. The Putra Mosque, or Masjid Putra in Malay language, is the principal mosque of Putrajaya, Malaysia. Construction of the mosque began in 1997 and was completed two years later. It is located next to Perdana Putra which houses the Malaysian Prime Minister's office and man-made Putrajaya Lake. In front of the mosque is a large square with flagpoles flying Malaysian states' flags. Many thanks to Afu for helping me out with this shot. Thanks buddy for letting me borrow your tripod, enjoyed the ride to PJ and the photography too.

A night view of the Prime Minister's office in Putrajaya from Putrajaya Seafood restaurant. You can see a bit of the Putra mosque minaret on the right. The wind was kinda strong, so we had the lights reflecting off blurry waters. ISO 400, 3 secs, no tripod so rested on ledge .... and noisy speckled blue sky :( Damn, need to get one of those new CMOS sensor cameras like the A550 ... :)
